  Although I find that many the brand's that they carry are not those that I wear or use the ones that do match my taste are lower priced than any other store in Westchester County. And when they have a sale (they do run many) the blow the competition out of the water. BTW, my wife tells me that ladies shoes and cosmetics are a REAL bargain during their special sales. Plus parking is free and plentiful.

  I have been a long standing customer, earning a premier status and spending 1000s at the store, making it pretty much the only store I shop in. Most salespeople are great, however I had several very disappointing and rather disturbing experiences with a saleswoman Arlene who works in the Vince, Diane Von Furstenberg women's clothing area. The first time I had an experience with her when I wanted to adjust a price of the DVF skirt I bought a couple of days earlier where she was lecturing me pretty much non stop any time I would say any word to her. Later in the day, I wanted to buy something else from the same department and I was being nice, greeted her, she literally ignored me and made faces. When I came back to the store a couple of days later yet again (all around Christmas time and in Christmas Spirit), I ran into her again, smiled and greeted her (as she is an old woman, we all have our bad days and I don't believe in being rude to people... ) not only she did not reply to me, she actually followed me to another register to become very confrontational and tell me that I am not allowed to be adjusting prices (on items I just bought 2 days earlier) and actually making a scene. When I wanted to talk to her supervisor, she would not tell me her name nor supervisor's name. I later found out her supervisor's name is Lisa.. I do not wish to waste more time or energy on her and it difficult to put into words how unpleasant, confrontational, rude and hateful she is. She should never be at a customer facing job. I visit Lord and Taylor to relax from my own stressful job and it's generally a very pleasant experience. However, the last two trips actually caused me much stress and grief, making me want to leave the store and not wanting to come back as she seems to be the only woman working in the high end designer section where I shop and I don't want to deal with her attitude and moods. There are plenty of other options as to where I can shop.
